Lightbulb Assisting an efficient market

A couple of ideas that would help the traders amongst us.

1. If you have a stack of goods for sale at say 1250 gold an item and then want to add more to that stack you should be able to drag and drop the new amount in to the old and the new price of the stack be calculated.

2. When buying from a stack it would be cool if buyers could select how many items from the stack they want. For example people commonly sell stacks of 50 and 75 but what if the buyer only needs 2 to craft something? he has to wait for the crafter to not be busy and at the keyboard which can mean sending repeated pms to someone.

3. One could also have a time system on afk so when someone selects the afk option they could also chose to say until what time they are afk till. This would allow people to make sure they are on-line to negotiate on that all important tier 27.

Ok thats all, any other suggestions welcome, also any posts that rubbish these ideas

For slow effects, use the slow % but as a negative.

Just repeat for multiple effects.

DO NOT multiply by 1+slow% to get your new delay. 1*1.4 is not the same as 1/0.6 and your answer will be wrong.

1. Agreed

2. Only if it wont apply to trophies

3. Agreed, not so sure if it would get used but always good to have a choice.

After discussing my ideas in game, popular opinion is that point two should only apply to resources and I think that makes sense

1 - agree

2 - agree as long as it is toggleable for each item, ive seen the case of people who sell a stack of 75 for one price, cause they want to make a deal for all of it (not to mention chance of bigger exp rush in social or less penalties if changing level soon) but to sell singles they want higher price. If this is the case i dont see why not in trrophies too.. as long as the seller is willing.

3 Disagree. really im set on afk all day long, and i think a lot of people is.. why add more data when u really want to set urself in afk if u are leaving, maybe in a hurry. Unless u wnat to make an option indicating if u have actually been doing something in game.. but i can think of several reasons why i dont want to show as inactive sometimes

Peter on your comment about discounts on a larger amount purchased I would think you would probably want to negotiate direct with the seller. The accepted practice however with the intro of point 2 would become that the item is priced on an individual unit basis and that larger sales could be discounted. I frequently find that buyers pm for a good and especially when it is for one or two units pay above the asking price because splicing a stack is inconvenient for a couple of k.

Point 2 would make the market far more fluid and fluidity makes for happier buyers and sellers, it would also encourage competitive pricing which would suit buyers.

I am a big supporter of this idea Raithlian.

It has been suggested by numerous people repeatedly, including myself.

When a buyer goes to the gem store in Stronhad for example, he/she can press ctrl and click in order to enter the number of gems that he/she wants to buy. I fail to see why such an approach can not be implemented in the auction house setting as well.

More often than not, I am looking to buy a single item in order to make a stone and the seller, who is likely afk, is selling a huge stack that I have absolutely no use for.

Perhaps, lack of implementation is due to the fact that people do not want to allow partial sales of certain items such as trophies (and goods that are being sold in bulk). Perhaps, accomodating these people would make the implementation of this idea too complicated.

If this is indeed the case, I would support a patch where everything can be bought in partial stack form (even trophies). But perhaps other people would disagree with this sentiment.

I am just tired of the following two choices:

(1) Buy the entire stack

(2) Go without

And I usually end up going without.

oh i meant that if u want to have a discount u talk to the seller, but in some cases the seller may not want to sell individual items, just the whole stack.. so it should be togleable.

I support this idea... i don't have enough storage to sell stacks of 5 nor do i have the patience to constantly go to t2(where ppl like to buy) to redo the stacks... so i just sell them in one big stack but i could care less if ppl buy 1 or 2 or 5 or 50 at that point i just price at normal and if they want bulk discount they can ask
