Scammer Torakinclaws / Dragonoffate

scamming other in game

In the early hours of 8/25 a player by the name Dragonoffate announced in civil that he was indeed Torakinclaws. This member of Nodiatis has on several occassions attempted and even achieved to scam other players out of time cards in the offer to pay at a later date with game gold.

Due to said issues, (I assume) led him to mention in STATS clan and as well as civil chat that he was quitting the game, while he still owed several players gold that was owed for getting tcs.

As previously said, he stated in civil, that he was "The original player of Torakinclaws, and was not the one that caused all the issues. Soon however, when confronted with where the thing where that were owed to him, he reverted to threats of keeping said Tcs, and not offering to pay them back.

I sent a E-mail asking if their was some way to get this players IP ban from game to prevent such to happen to others, and I was asked to post such to see if others have any issues with him of the sort. I also have screen shots of him admitting such and who he owes to. After such knowledge of me sending such info, he then changed his acts, and offered to pay back what was owed, and said he informed all and is planning to pay them back.

I am writing such not to cause issues, or drama, but, rather to prevent Torak from taking advantage of others within the Nodiatis community. If you have any such similar issues please voice such to let it be known, and maybe have him gone from the game.

As a favor to Kingjoey (who was in clan ICE with me at the time), I reimbursed Kingjoey the two TCs he was owed by Torak.

To my knowledge, Kingjoey has still not received the two he was owed by Torak.

seriously? you have to be quite retarded to get scamed so easily who lends someone 2 tcs... i could understand if you knew the person in rl but just lending someone you met in game is stupid.

however this thread isnt about that its about banning a player.

i support a ban i was online the day he ragequit and came back to nod...this is the second alt he has made since then to try tohide being torak and both times hes been found out so its obvious hes trying to get out of his debts

Yesterday this individual sent several pm's to harass one of my clannies until she finally placed him on her ignore list. He then advertised in civil chat, offering to pay 5K to anyone who would PK her. He then made the same offer about another player.

I think he is an ideal candidate for a perma-ban, and I am sure the Nod community will be better off without him.

1st: Anyone who "pre-orders" a TC is asking to be scammed. Could those people "loan" me all their gold and gear too? I'll give it back with interest "on a later date."

2nd: Torak is a scamming weenie. It's not worth flaming him because he clearly demonstrates what he is publicly and then cries when he gets called on it, forcing the point home. But seriously, if some of the past scammers haven't been banned (Fairlane, etc.) why should Torak? Just iggy the noob.

i was on a arena team with him...had no clue all of this was going on didn't seem like a bad guy to me. but acting on a computer is easy anyway.

though for offering to pay people gold for a pk in my opinion is not bad...actuilly, i think an idea in the game where you can place "hits" on people is awsome. (though since it is not part of the game yet i know he would have just scamed these people too :P)

anyway, i think he should get perma-banned

Torak was originally the master of clan DRAKE. I was an officer, because I tried to be as helpful as possible for everyone in the clan. I have tried to be as helpful as possible to everyone who asked, and there are several players who would vouch for that. Over time, he did not acknowledge my efforts to improve our clan, and after I made a 750,000 Rune Power donation, he became infuriated that I helped more than he did. He was usually squelched, AFK, or away, and whenever we tried to contact him, he was unavailable. After his choice to ignore the needs of our runes for the month, by putting me in charge and telling me to activate whatever I wanted, because he had better runes in Stats, I felt as if he was being a poor leader. He also accumulated a debt with Stats of 4 Time Cards to Lvlercedesman, for which he had gotten the gold.

A player from Stats messaged me about trying to contact him to repay said debt, and another player from Stats escorted me to Stronhad, and witnessed my Shared Bliss for 20 gold. I gave the Time Cards to the person who bought them, assuming Torak would pay me back, as I figured he would appreciate me being helpful and not leaving his client to wait for the cards. He verified that yes, he did have 400K in game gold from the sale, and he returned 2 of the Time Cards to me, which paid half the debt he owed to me. The other 2, however, were not returned.

In general, I viewed his actions as abusive, and he often made promises he did not keep. He declared a random war with another clan, without telling anyone, and it made several players upset. He also delayed our scheduled alt war by allowing me to give a Time Card to my alt, and give her 100,000 game gold, which she could never donate, because he did not promote her to Soldier rank. At that point, I chose to defect from DRAKE, because I no longer wanted to be under his control. I left behind some runes I liked, but I did not mind, because I felt disadvantaged by a master who acted as he did. He rarely spoke or gave advice to anyone, and would not speak to me, even an officer, unless I verbally deferred to him, in some kind of praise.

I created a new clan, and invited those from Drake who wished to join, to join my new clan, to start fresh, with just an alt war, and an environment of mutual support. I did not bully anyone into joining. One player declined, and I understood. The day Torak figured out what I had done, he unleashed hell upon me in the civil chat by offering time cards to anyone who would PK me or any member of my clan.

I received a steady flow of "flame mail" from players who were angry with me, players who wanted to kill me, players who threatened that my game time was over. One person said in civil chat: "This is the end of Moirathea." I know it is immature to think so realistically about a game, but I'm a very sensitive person, and I cried, because I did not think that what I had done was so wrong. Torak PMed me several threats, insulting me, blaming me for "leading everyone away." While I did invite people to join, they had to agree, and the fact that Torak went berserk and would not talk rationally (even several days afterward) only convinces me more that I should have acted sooner. I did not appreciate the stream of messages from people who told me that Torak had indeed paid them to kill me, and I had no way of knowing if their threats were true or false. I was very upset, and decided to quit the game completely, until a few players talked me out of it.

I am still a caring, kind person who attempts to help everyone possible, and I cannot kill anyone or be the best craftsperson, but I do what I can. Torak made alts so that he could still send me PMs after the account Torakironclaw was Death-matched by Jvance, at Torak's request. He blames me still for everything, and I am the person at whom he is most enraged. He said in the public chat that he would make my life hell, and he continues to threaten me and my friends, even telling me that "PKers would steal our epic items." I did not think this was possible if said items were soul-bound. He has sent me apologies soaked in insults, and I cannot find any enjoyment in my game time when he is constantly announcing his threats. I have already ignored him, but he continues to bother my friends and my clan. I do not know if he has paid anyone to kill us, but I wish he would simply return the debt to the people whom he owes, and leave me alone. He is being far too extreme with the vendetta, and I wish it would stop.

I support a ban on Torakinclaw aka Dragonoffate. I was there yesterday on the date Gore is posting about and witnessed the incident. Dragonoffate admitted to being Torak, and to selling his account as well. (I have a screenie I can post if it's alright.) He admitted to owing gold (as reimbursment for not getting him the TC) to Gore when confronted. Later on he said something along the lines of: since Gore was making such a big deal about it , he wasn't going to give him his gold back.

Also, I was there-it was either last month or the month before when "Torak" was saying on civil how he owed a bunch of people TC's. He said he was experiencing computer issues (a crash I believe) so he couldn't get people there tc's on time. He said he was going to reimburse everyone there gold PLUS still give them there tc's. I don't know if this is related to this incident in particular though. But he felt soo bad at the time-or so he acted. I don't know anymore. I felt bad for him then because it seemed he really cared, but now he's been acting like "so what?" I believe he is a scammer and needs to be stopped.

Thank you all that posted, with bits of info that can show others of the underhanded ways he scammed players.

I truly hope he gets some sort of ban, as I believe it will benefit the players as a whole, as well as make sure others do not have the chance to deal with his antics.

Sometimes they can get their money back and the person who scammed them can wind up in jail or even prison, depending on the amount that was scammed.
