Default What would you do for a klondyke bar?

yes i spelled it with a "y" on purpose

Anyway I wanted this to be a poll but I need ideas first before I can start a poll. So what I want to know is what would YOU do to make you want to pk everyday? or Pk more then once a week?

Please list anything that comes to mind wether it be no more permadeath, able to loot sb item(s), lose only half level, etc....

Once I have a bunch of ideas then we can start a poll and glitch can see what would make US happy.

If I were a Pker I would worry about all the time I spent on my char. So my idea would be along the lines of cloning chars. It was brought up by glitch once before but never grew into anything.

There would be a very large fee depending on the char level and exp level. it would allow you to clone your char's level and some skills but not gear. The clone would not be able to participate in mob battles, arena battles, duels, etc.. and you would not be able to play with any stats. It can only be used to pk with. And there would be a time limit on how often you can clone as to prevent an army of relics running around in one week.

Also raise the minimum pk level to 10 or higher and the pk immunity time raised to prevent newer players from getting anniliated by the rush of pkers into the game.

This way the capped players that have spent years tweaking dont have to lose anything except for some tc's or in game gold.

Also have a cool down period where if a char is cloned That original char gains exp at half the normal speed for a few days or week. That way there is some kind of penalty for cloning. or cloning too often.

I would like to suggest that triple exp and triple trops be removed, as well as permadeath to the PKer. Pkers should get a piece of loot per kill, and if they are pwnt, the PKKer gets the pkers loot and the pker is not put back to lvl 1 and lose out on his toon.

Obviously this could be exploitable, so there needs to be a set of other rules. Just my idear.

would like pkkers no longer to group and pk a solo pker and maybe a short timer kinda like the clan battle 1 to prevent them from constantly attackin till u die could be for example cant force on that pk since had escaped from forced combat for 25 secs or somin

i wouldnt mind havin to pk maybe every 3 days for the bonus i think thats pretty fair everday is a bit much especially if u dont have travel mode u eat up a lot of time running while red

i like the ideas f removing the wp and trophy bonus as well but needs to be something worthwhile for pks to gain and sp has most value in nod

i dont like removal of permadeath idea and think that all pks should keep is learning skills lettin them keep adventure skills adds to combat skills in a way since if lvl 80 and 80 archo and can use 4 ++ runes u can have a nice amount of runes equped at low lvl adding to ur combat effectiveness

The PKer loses 1/10th all stat skill lvls and only stat skills.
All loot stolen by the PKer goes to the PKKer and nothing else.

I feel we reward PKKers too much currently. See my sig for my opinion.

I remember people before said PKing is bad because you are killing and compared it to real life so here is my rebuttle to people who think that. If you kill someone who has killed someone else you would be considered the same as them and when they die or jailed their stuff isn't given away to their enemies anyway.

Apologies for possible spelling and grammar mistakes, it is late.

EDIT: With this i would want triple exp to be removed.

pkers have been given to much as it is giving them more would just be complete bs. pking benefits far more than pkking... so i think the 5 mins of flashing after being forced on should be increased, and pkkers should get more reward

So here is my rebuttle. GO PK! If you think its so wonderful DO IT! This thread asks to put suggestions in that would make you WANT to go PK. So unless you are PK already saying it is good enough is not following the guidelines.

Also what do PKs get? Triple Exp then -100% exp with the exception of noncombat skills brings all my useful skills to 0. How is that a good thing?

What is the problem with the pk system ?

Simple: Perma-death

As long as the possibility of perma-death is there, many people will never want to go player killer.

Even if it gives extra experience gain, the chance to lose everything (skills + levels) when player killing is not very enticing.

I understand that perma-death may not be such a big issue to people with deep pockets (and good for them too). However, often, even these people, will not go player killer with their main toons. The risk is too great and there is too much to lose.

Essentially the permadeath concept is what is wrong with the pker system. More limited penalties such as losing all items and gold and spending some time in a jail type place or any other penalty that allows a person to keep their skills and level --- anything of that sort would be preferable to permadeath.

Going back to level 1 and getting all of your skills reset is not very enticing after you have spent ages and lots of gold, money and time in order to bring them up.

But since Glitchless has already stated that perma-death is here to stay, I don't see myself playerkilling.

I might raise a low level player killer at some point but that is only because it is very easy to build an overpowered level 10 toon (and it a small investment [at most one days worth of trophies and gold] ).

i personally think permadeath is one of the best things about the current PK system

wheres the thrill in omg im gona lose my loot omg omg omg when all u typically loot is a stack of recalls?

PKing isnt about the bonus

its about having fun while doing it

people twist it so that they only use it for the bonus but that doesnt make it not fun

Russian Roulette is also very thrilling.

There are people who like and strive on the adrenaline rush. The problem is that one of those 6 chambers has a bullet in it.

Anyways, the point that I was trying to make was that for the average person who plays Nodiatis, permadeath is too steep of a cost and hence they will never attempt to player kill. If player killing is to be encouraged on a more widespread basis especially at higher levels, then permadeath has to be done away with.

People don't player kill for the sake of player killing because the rewards are too measly and the costs are too great.

You can take one stack of items (most don't take anything but epics and recalls/gates because of the encumbarance limit) and you can't take any gold either.

And for that one stack of items and a momentary adrenaline rush, you risk losing everything that you have worked for on your toon. (Simply not worth it).

Offcourse, there is the 3 X experience gain, but that still does not make up for the chance of permadeath --- nothing really makes up for permadeath.

Take the Russian Roulette example again: lets say you get 100,000 dollars every time you squeeze the trigger and stay in one piece. Is it worth it ? I suppose the answer depends on what kind of person you are but for the average person it is not.

That is what I was trying to say. Remove permadeath and I might try out player killing, even if it meant 1/2 rt for the next week or something (just an idea).

Just repeat for multiple effects.

DO NOT multiply by 1+slow% to get your new delay. 1*1.4 is not the same as 1/0.6 and your answer will be wrong.

i love the cloning idea.. say i make a new alt, get him accel. then copy neme's awesome learning skills onto this little noobs. he would get a lot more xp from trophs and kills which would make him lvl faster and take less trophs for needed skills, overall saving gold/tc's.. my only prob is the 5 tc's part

NNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Level 10s can still PK level 5s. Also, that would get rid of level 5 and 7 PKs, which would just be wrong.
