Damage...

ok another idea...

When fighting i want to see what damage I'm doing.. not what everyone in my group.. specially archers are doing... Maybe make it so we can see only our damage... or even make it so other ppls damage is a diff color then ours...

Right now... Red is melee, blinking red is crit and all that.. but then take a color not being used.. something you can see without looking :P to be everyone elses damage...

Also.. is most games i play like this.. ppl like knowing how much damage they do per second.. its not easy to calculate that kind of thing as you play because damage isnt consistent it fluctuates... Well maybe a good idea could be to make a program for the game that calculates the damage your do per second... Not including your pet.. unless your a Beast master or w/e uses pets i forgot :P lol used to WoW where a Huntard has pets lol

Some good ideas.. None would effect game play negatively...
The Damage meter or dps meter is something i'd kill for :P lol It gives people something to compete with besides dueling and crap.. Adds interest =]

if you look at your screen you can figure out your dmg very easily.

LOL wow Flashus.. you really need to learn how to read.. i can see damage.. but in that Huge ass head of yours can you calculate how much damage you do in one second? No exactly .. and its an idea.. You really need to lighten up No one wants to hear an ass hole being stupid all the time... And not really you see other ppls damage along with yours.. you can't always tell whats ur damage.. specially when you have a dot and someone else has a dot on the screen ..

Hhmm another idea to go with this.. or to change my idea...
Maybe instead of showing only your damage.. Put the name of the person that did the damage in Parenthesis next to the damage number... Some examples....

I have to say what a wild overreaction it was to Flashus' comment. He is absolutely right. You can tell what your damage is and if want to calculate DPS you can. If you don't want people to make reasonable comments on your ideas, don't post them.

You can't tell which damage is yours.. Most ppl play in groups.. you can't tell the damage in groups.. so yes.. its a good idea.. and no you can't calculate dps.. if you can let me know.. Probable dps is WAY different then Actual DPS.. its not even close.. and again.. its impossible to caculate actual dps while in a group.. it wont be correct.. you'll be adding others dps with yours.. wow.. Dont post if you have no idea what your talking about... I'm not being rude.. if you take that as rude sorry... I'm just being up-front.. Also Flashus is rude to me.. that gives me the right to be rude back =]

I'm not going to argue with you, but I did read your post. And the fact that YOU can't easily determine whose damage is whose doesn't mean that its a problem in the game. I play grouped and I can tell which character is which by which one moves when the damage is inflicted. It is actually easier now then during beta because you can see your pets. Given that both Flashus and I don't have a problem doing that might suggest to you that its not a widespread problem. And yes, to call someone an ******* after he says "if you look at your screen you can figure out your dmg very easily" is rude.

Not really... I'm talking about DoTs... Direct damage is easy to tell.. but you can't tell Your DoT damage.. and your direct damage melee or archery or w/e all together.. because ALL damage together is your dps.. So yes its imposible to calculate your total dps with just your brain.. unless there was easily read ways of telling who's dot did what damage ... I dont have a pet yet.. but can you tell whos pet does what damage or does it just show up over the enemy's head as damage? I bet it just shows damage.. i doubt it shows the pet move.. if it does.. sweet =]

I appreciate the apology. The DoTs I tell by eliminating the other damage and by the fact that they're purple. A different color for each type of DoT might be reasonable. The pets you can see move as well, so they're easy. I'm sorry to hear about your wife. Been there.

Ya it sucks..
But if others have dots too.. its too confusing ... :O


Well actually my dots are usually the stronger ones.. so i can go by that for now :P lol
