Default Nodiatis on a mobile device

Lately web based games are getting more complex. Several years ago when i played torn city, it was completely text-based. Meaning it was easy to play the game on a mobile device's browser.
Now we have all sorts of implementations, true text based web game is a thing of the past.
I don't know how the web evolved, but i see all kinds of different thing happening in a web browser that is anything BUT simple text.

The best example would be nodiatis itself.
While it is obvious that it is easy to play the game on a desktop browser, this statement isn't true for a mobile device.

There are games that are completly in a flash window. Those won't work too in a mobile device.
I even stumbled on a series of games that play in a browser, yet they are completly 3d, as if you played a standalone 3d game (How in god's name fif they do that ????)

I myself currently own a Nokia E90 which supposedly has one of the best browsers in a mobile device. Supposedly it supports flash, but it sure as hell didn't work when i tried to play that flash game.

The latest incarnation of web games advancements is Nodiatis. Which loads like a normal game. Nodiatis may be a web based game, but i can't run it on my E90 not in a 100 years.

Using E90 browser, and loading nodiatis, page loaded but kindly asked me to install java. It directed me to a java page, but there i could only find something for desktop platforms.
Launching the game in mini opera gets me a black screen which only says initializing game interface. Obviously nothing is initialized, as mini opera works this way:
You enter a web address, mini opera reformats that web site on its forums and sends the phone a reformatted version of the web site. Obviously this doesn't work.
As a matter of fact, there is no way i can launch nodiatis on nokia E90.

I have no experience what so ever with windows mobile devices. In my mind, u at least have to have a touch screen device, than a proper browser. E90 doesn't have either one. It isn't touch, and browser doesn't support these advanced java features.
The majority of windows mobile are touch based.
Is there a browser there that can play nodiatis ?

Then there's the Nokia internet tablet. (Latest one is n810) Has anyone with a internet tablet tried to play nodiatis ?

There is another category of mobile devices like oQo, (oqo) which run full windows (2gb ram, intel atom cpu 120gb hdd touch, keyboard). These obviously have dektop web browsers, and even world of warcraft works on them. Nodiatis obviously works.

My question is: Is there a mobile device that can play nodiatis ? Phone or pda or something ?
What does the browser need to run nodiatis?
Can Nokia internet tablet N800 or N810 run nodiatis (only answerable if someone has internet tablet and tried to run nodiatis ?)

Do i need to buy oqo to play nodiatis on my toilet ? Or is there something else outthere ?

I know it is a java game. It asked me to load java.
The statement:"get a phone that has Java you could play it" is very broad.
Every cheap phone supports java, if u ask me. Obviously u can't play nodiatis on those !

LOL

This is the most hilarious post I've ever seen.

Unless he's serious.

If so, then it's the saddest post I've ever seen.

Get over it, buy a PC.

you'll have to check the website of the company that makes your phone. Find out if there is an update for it. If there isn't one..... thent he statement to get a newer phone is valid. A Crackberry is capable of playing Nod. Samsung Sync... No. The Razor.... No. definitely "try" the new phone before you buy it.

lol a crackberry is a blackberry. I just call them crackberry's because everyone I know with them are pretty much addicted to them. I know there are a few other models that can handle Nod as well, I just can't remember what they are. Depending on the store you go to buy a phone in, it is possible to try the phone before buying it such as best buy. Walk in ask to try it see if it works. If it doesn't tell them you'd like to try another up til you find one that works.

If a noadiatis works on a balckberry, that means the web browser in that blackberry is capabale of running nodiatis, not the balckberry itself.
Thaks for the hint. I'll do some more digging.

Later Edit: balckbaery Storm 9500 (lates one with touch) has these browser capabilitites
Improved web page rendering including AJAX
XMLHttpRequest
JavaScript® 1.5
CSS 2.1
DOM L2 (including Core, HTML, Style, Events)
HTML 4.01 (including Forms, Maps, Tables, Frames, Objects)
Improved Native Attachment Download
Support for downloading files via the browser

It seems to have java 1.5. I wonder, is it enought to launch the game or not ?

I run linux, and I have found many java applets giving problems in opera. Nodiatis is a real pain with opera to my experience. I use ephiphany to play nod. It's the best of all I've tested. This browser is using the gecko engine.

Now as for mobile browsers, I've seen a couple of them that use the gecko engine for there browser as well such as MicroB (nokia's native browser) and Minimo (from the mozilla project). As to what I've heard they are way better than mobile opera. You might want to test those out.

My point being; if nod runs crappy in opera on a desktop, it doesn't surprise me it won't run on a mobile opera.

I must add that with the latest opera, nod runs better, but far from smooth (might also be something that jeff changed in nod's resource management).

N810 i believe use gecko engine. And i aasked some guys at a n810 forum to see if they would test nodiatis on a n810. I don't know wheter or not the guy that replied tested the game or not, but when i told him it was java, he replied, forget about it !

The selection on browsers i have for symbian based nokia e90 is really scarce. I have :
1)In built browser - safari code
2)Opera mini - free
3)Non free Opera 8.65. haven't teste it yet, but i am certain it won't work.
4)Skyfire, which is beta, but use the same, pre-manipulating technology for web sites as mini opera. Its beta and buggy, but seems to support more flash animations than the built in browser. Couldnt get nodiatis to work with this one either !

if nodiatis 'll become so big they might make it working on mobile devices, but for now i'm afraid you'll be only able to watch porn on your phone

The best device to play nodiatis on the go is OQO model 2+
Here how it looks
YouTube - OQO Model 2

Model 2+ has 2gb ram instead of 1, intel atom 1.8gb instead of via cpu, and upt o 120gb hdd.
I believe a 1.8" 5mm 80gb intel ssd can alos fit in. If it accepts 8mm 1.8" drives, that means 160gb 1.8" intel ssd also fits in.

Oqo model 2+ also has OLED touch.

Both models have 800x480 5" native that can be interpolated to 1000x600 or 1024x768.

Latest model also has gobi cip (evdo, cdma, hsdpa + sim slot + gps)

And it weigth 1 pound (aprox 450g, my e90 is 210g)

The 2 Model (via cpu - not the latest) can run world of warcraft decently.
The 2+ model supposedly is twice as better becauase of the intel cpu.

So all you fans out there that wanna play nodiatis in the train buy yourselves an oqo model 2+

I know i might !

I got a blackberry storm just recently, but I get the same "you need to install java" message on it with nodiatis. If anyone has any ideas let me know it'd be interesting to play on the phone, though I doubt the phone has the power to handle it
