Thumbs up Next Arena season - suggestion

Since new season will start sooner than later, let's discuss it
My proposal is simple: have both arena types running in parallel.
Instead of having 3 arena types cycled through an year, have 4 of them with 2 active setups:
Season 2018:
  1. Premade: 3 vs 3
  2. Solo 1 vs 1
At the end of that: april 2019, Season 2019-1:
  1. Premade: 2 vs 2
  2. Solo queue: 3 vs 3

Mechanics:
  • Shared Slow Rating.
  • Shared tokens.
  • Shared matches amount (400 + 40 per day), in premade all individuals must have at least one match each in order to be able to queue the entire group.
  • Separate Solo queue and Group premade queue.
  • One toon can be part of a group arena team while being able to solo queue when his mates are not online.
  • Individual rating for Solo Arena.
  • Team rating for Premade Arena Team.
  • 2 Rankings pages with 2 sets of prizes (reduce the prize pool ?).
  • Arena bonus premade team: flat 10% value added based on recent participation (no additional % per fight).
  • Arena bonus solo queue: current logic of stacking up arena bonus.
  • Arena bonuses from both arena types will sum up if qualified: stacked % + flat %
  • Think about a cap value for arena bonus: 25% seems fair!

Additionally:
  • Inactivity or manual leave from queue should be punished by not allowing to queue for a period of time to discourage arena griefers.
  • Arena widget (similar to FPS) to see the people / team numbers that are queued.

No, this would just make each arena queue even slower. We just need shorter seasons with less reward.

These threads are kinda silly. Either someone forgets nod has a total population of 25. (there's 1-2 every season) So we can't support dividing arena further. (or else the first thing we should do is level range arena so low levels can actually get prizes. (level 20 are a with 50/100k etc gold prizes anyone?)

Or people keep asking for shorter seasons which glitch has said probably 100 times he has no plans to consider ever.

maybe long seasons are the reason why people get bored and leave, with shorter ones keeping it more exciting and competitive?

as for low lvls, they should get reward as well, with the only problem being the "toon army" exploit, as people would make 10 toons and transfer awards from them to main, which is why the 1tc reward should maybe be cut to first 100, and 100+ getting some gold at least to keep them motivated towards staying.

Give low levels a token bonus so they have a reason to queue- anyone under 80 gets double tokens for a loss or something? And give +5 to all stats in arena for every 10 levels under 80, starting with 79, so that a level 20 will get +30 to all stats. It's not an exploitable buff but it will help low levels at least compete, or maybe get a win instead of a draw against an AFK.

The thing that broke arena was the stackable arena bonus.
This kind of bonus rewards dedicated people only, casuals are not even bothering to queue during the season due to high effort vs the reward. Some people are queuing at most for several matches if the queue is fast enough, then proceed with PVE.
The effect of the arena bonus already created a huge distance between player bases: nolifers vs casuals, casual players cannot even compete with the farming alts of "elite" base.
Mistakes were made, the effects of the stackable bonus are visible now.
Next wave will be seen at most in 1 year when the introduction of Larcener class will be visible: inflation and consolidation of the top 10 players who "run" nod.

* Thinking about the time when it was hard to push 1-2 alts in top 150 for the TC reward, now all toons are there *

i would sugest a class/spec type based arena...
i would love to see how melee`s cry about other melee`s and how casters blame other casters being to op....couse honestly i am tired about this racism against the bm`s made by weak instabile emotional ones....gamers play games...others do other stuffs in game as a priority(QQ being top1)

Permanent pre-made arena teams will definitely engage more people into doing arena and maybe bring old players back.
