S2 and spending habit

We had discussion after tempting cyber Monday offer and and we realized that we don't have things to buy for gold - therefore selling Tcs is pointless.

Even tho gems and armors are covered - there is close to none selection of weaponry /pet/archery we can go after to progress.

There is more big guys leaving s2 as they "stuck" with their builds. Sadly masters are gone together with them.

There is need for something to be done to at least preserve masters we already obtain.

I see escalating problem here that greatly affecting economy and TC buying habits.

I can speak for myself - I'm holding back from buying TCS just because things I wanna buy are not available.

You can get LG Pet, Bow, Quiver, and Arrow masters in gifts. Are any of the needed masters of a different type?

The 'problem' was certain toons which were holding most (if not all) the masters got banned for botting. Since then there has had to be a 'start from scratch' approach, with building the stock of masters back up.
We're gradually collecting a stock of various level masters. The trick is to make sure items are spread between toons, so that if one person or toon is banned or quits, we don't suffer the same problems.
It isn't an 'escalating problem', it's a diminishing problem.

Yes Jeff, we did get rebuild stock of them by buying TC and opening gift boxes.

We transfered those masters to person who can craft them. That person quit..... and 20+ masters are gone.

Then we started again and same thing happened .

I recently got few gift boxes and got nothing useful.

There is a limit of TC I can buy/burn. If I have stack of 50 it will last me for long time .

I honestly have no hope that when I buy 25 or even 50 those 4 gifts will give me one of 6 masters I'm looking for.

I believe getting gold and resourcess for my LG is hassle enough not to mention get skill to craft them.

Sitting idle for months lurking if maybe someone got lucky with it its not a way of playing either.

If things were available I could sell TCs and get what I want .

For now because store is empty why do I even need gold if I cannot spend it on anything ?

Sure I can keep buying TC and blindly hope one day I got gift with right master in it.


Anyways, this is not whining thread so let's get to the point:

Since bannings (old story) database for master has been rebuild and lost twice already (for example all S2 crafting thread if you look at it its all lost )

We have some hoarders as well that won't share their masters for various reasons.

I made thread before suggesting clan " masters vault" that I believe is still good solution.

I lost few masters to crafter that quit before which means I'll need to try for same masters twice which might drop in year or two after 500+ TCS ....

I would rather not to loose it , get bulk TCS ,sell them - get my LG . Get more TCS sell it - get another one and so on...

I would take that over what we I do now : sit on pile of gold/Tcs and stare at empty AH.

All it takes in my humble opinion (I might be wrong of course) is to let people keep what they got so far and let them resource /grind to work towards their gear.

Few people leaving game shouldn't lead to destroying economy and put us back where we were year ago.

I just wanna see the light in tunel. (I am a bit frustrated I admit - there was master and i collected all mats for it and it's no longer available so I apologize for any bitterness people might sense in this post)

Just a thought, but why are you "giving" the masters to people who can craft them? You don't need the skill to make the TP...keep the masters yourself. When you need something crafted, make your own TP, then just ask for a crafter. Problem solved.

Then, if you are buying TCs, and you are starting to build up masters, and need more storage room, you can use your "extra" TCs that you don't need to sell for gold to get more storage. Again, problem solved, while obtaining more masters.

Yes I know it's not an ideal world, and there would be more trading involved, but, there are other ways around the problems you are stating, you just have to think of them.

Exactly. I got armored companion master from a gift box a few weeks ago. Got the virts, so it's up on AH just so that people can see that it exists on S2. If someone wants it making, they need a pet crafter, and I'll either make the tp myself (if I've got the mana/energy to do so), or I'll loan the master to someone else to make the tp. I'll then get the master straight back, and it'll sit in storage again.

If 'Joanna' (whoever they are, I've no idea) has a problem with certain people hoarding and refusing to craft items (and I think I know exactly who is being pointed out), then get shot of them, and get with a different set of people.

Regardless of the answer, one thing we would consider is at least a way of making LG masters morphable with something like a 50% success rate. For example, if you had an LG master that you truly deemed "worthless" or low enough value, you could pop it into your enchanting rod and have a 50% of just losing it and a 50% chance of it returning a different one.

This is a step forward Glitchless.

I just have another runed flurry great sword master (makes it total 3) and still none of the 6 master I'm interested in.

Seems it's not only issue with "useless" (I would say not-your-build-related master) it's also about duplicate masters.

The dream solution would be when you combine 2 same masters and can pick any of your choice.


@storm girl : you right , I know all that yet I believe in "WE" as its mmorpg game and team work /trust/talent (skill) exchange should be part of the game.

Any game where it's all about "ME" becomes single player game and only crates haTe ragetting and anger. Even if Glitch will give me all max tier gear I wouldn't enjoy the game - I'm enjoying interactions with other players , setting goals , making agreements who is crafting what and help others any way I can .
That's what thrills me the most ! SUCCESS of my friend is my success. I really enjoy when WE can achieve something.

Speaking of if group farming (on same square) have more incentive it would bring people together.

Like for example: a skill that gives you up to 100% chance of finding +1 tier resource after team killing mob or/and when farming on same square you get 10% bonus similar to arena bonus (only works if in team and same square)

I will support and "WE" idea and oppose any "solo" buffs

Ah yes, I dare to comment on another "boo-hooo poor S2" thread and I'm called a whiner.

I was criticising, which is different. From where I'm sitting, virtually every forum thread regarding S2 is asking for something. Is that not the case?

Maybe the best solution is to make masters <SB> on S2 so they can't trade them all to one player (AGAIN).
