I've got to say that even granting all everything behind the duel request ,which one has to assume was born out of frustration, that a ban is way too harsh. I don't know if it's the same as the seven days austen got, but if it is that's just way too much. I'd love to hear an explanation of this.

a duel shouldn't be a bannable offense it was a duel, not a death match or an attempt to pk, duels are a way to see how you stand against others, admitedly i would figure that jeff would have the good gear, so what harm is there in a duel, to me none, but then hey what do we know, apparently nothing

i think even without any type of gear at all, he would have killed me being that he had 80 levels above me.

Obviously the ban wasn't simply for offering a duel to Jeff. If that were something you could get banned for then the option shouldn't even be there. The ban is obviously related with what happened to austen. Austen gets banned and spartan comes along and offers a duel and BAM he's banned too. If that's is all there is to this story then it was obviously a snap decision by Jeff based on his relationship to Austen and I would hope that with further reflection a cooler head would prevail.
