Roleplaying Channel

I'd like to see a channel dedicated to roleplaying, on top of the civil/uncivil channels. Anyone using it should be required to stay in-character. I know there is a wide range of ages playing this game, so perhaps even a civil-RP and an uncivil-RP channel would be warranted as well...taking into consideration that certain RP, especially of an "evil/violent" nature, might not be suitable for the younger crowd.

I believe this would increase the appeal of the game, while doing nothing to harm it. It would give the roleplayers a place to meet and socialize, without having to deal with the typical banter of the shoutbox. I know I'm not alone here...many gamers enjoy fantasy games such as this, based purely on the fact that it IS a fantasy-based game...and quite honestly having to listen to the banter and constant OOC references detracts from that experience. We want to be immersed in the gameworld, pulled into the story and characters as in a well written novel, and if we had our own channel...we'd be able to do so. Personally, I just keep the channels off entirely, at the moment.

From a business standpoint, this could only be a good thing for the game. It would draw in, and more importantly KEEP serious gamers...playing your game, hence increasing profit...so on and so forth.

A roleplaying channel would be a good thing, not only for those who use it, but also for those who don't, since doing the whole RPG thing in the normal channel is irritating for both sides. In addition, a trade and a help channel would seperate the chat even further by purposes. Just like you turn off the uncivil channel at the moment (in case you don't want free porn), you'd turn off ads and requests, newcomer questions or the roleplaying community as you prefer, which would be a very convenient way to handle all the incoming shouts.
