Make Epics storable, this will still make players buy virtues to use/trade/auction the item, will also take up storage space.
If you want make epics stored require player to carry token (same weight as epic)
Trade token for epic when you get vitues,
Placing an epic into starage would be a permanent thing, you could not even destroy it once stored. unless you get the virtues to remove it from storage

the requirement of keeping epics stored is so that pkers have a chance to loot them. as far as i can tell thats pretty much the only reason, dont expect it to be changed

If that was the only reason, then Jeff is losing revenue! PKers already have purchased the virtues, where those that store them most likely have not. I guess Jeff will have to think this strategy over.

Agreed. If it's to bring him some money, Gizmo's idea seems more reasonable.

actually it makes more sense this way, u guys need to hurry up with your purchases if u want to keep that really good epic item so instead of hoarding your epics in your storage for 8 months u'll be more likely to purchase them right away

Maybe... don't think anyone would keep the item in the storage for more than a week. In such time you'd probably get to the level way over the level of the item, which would make the item worthless.

But then, consider one thing. Imagine that you bought some virtues to use an item you've just found. Before you get the virtues (I'm quite sure there are some delays), you're PKed and lose the item. Maybe there's little possibility for something like that to occur but it's still probable.

And I don't see how it'd hurt the providers to implement something like this (maybe apart from further discouraging PKers).

for those that have not purchased virtues... the last screen before getting back to the game reads (not a direct quote) if u have no received your virtues game add ons etc in 5mins... plz contact so and so so we can rectify the problem... when i buy virtues with my CC its literally instantaneous. if ur using pay by cash then u have a bigger problem

How long does it take you guys to raise 10 bucks?

It's not a matter of saving up money, it's a matter of spending it. I always have to give it a thought before I spend even a few dollars. It may not be much but if you add up the costs of all the purchases... well, I don't feel like spending a fortune on something that's only virtual.

If I were to buy a virtue or two, I'd rather wait till I'm quite high-levelled and get a nice item then. Getting the virtues for something temporary (something I'll be using for a week or so) isn't a good purchase in my opinion. And I don't want to get the whole set of virtues eventually (only the ones I really need).

Okay... firstly, getting to a level over the level of the epic does not make the epic worthless. I'm level 22 using the epic 9 shield. Was using the epic 9 hat too until I found the epic 25 helmet :P The only thing that makes an epic worthless is a better epic of the same type.

As for purchasing virtues for an epic I have just found, I tend to get that over with before I even exit looting. Granted, on my alts this is more difficult as they cannot both get the virtues like that, there has to be a trade going on. But I have yet to be pk'd during that time.

As for delays, yes, there are slight delays, delays equivalent to the time it takes for PayPal to tell the Nodiatis server that yes, that order information you just sent us was paid and processed. Generally it's a matter of seconds, I have never seen a delay of even one minute.

That's good to hear. Style's already answered to this and made it all clear but thanks nonetheless.

Probably the most important reason for keeping the epics for so long is the bonuses they give, which makes them so unique amongst other items. I still am surprised to hear epics are so useful even on levels way above theirs. Once again, good news.

its also a lvl requirement thing with minimal skills u can add a bigger advantage while still pumping over skills

If you're PKed within that timeframe, you have taken entirely too long.
