the alcoholic
Not sure I even like the idea of this class. I understand it's supposed to be a fun character, but anyone who knows or has met an alcoholic knows they're rather depressing. Why not just adding a heroin addict class as well? That said, I have some suggestions on how to change the class, since it needs a makeover badly:
1.) If there were potions in the game, they could have a stronger effect on the alcoholic since he's used to drinking all kinds of stuff. I wouldn't suggest this if it wasn't for the potion making skill "coming soon".
2.) Having built up a high resistance against poison by constantly poisoning himself (which is a retarded line of argumentation), the alcoholic is more likely to resist all kinds of dot effects.
3.) A penalty on certain stats is implemented if the player doesn't "booze up" from time to time. Vice versa, he gets a bonus while he's drunk (the alter ego, I mean). Consider it a second layer of rested time of which he gets say one hour per shot. The affected stats are either str/dex (for dealing more or less damage) or agi/cnt (for taking less or more damage), depending on which kind of character the alcoholic is supposed to be (I have no idea). The booze he needs can be crafted with the brewery skill, however, he shouldn't be able to brew it all by himself (because he needs ingredients from more than one source), which means he has to constantly invest gold in order to satisfy his addiction. Additionally, as he grows stronger (by leveling up), he might have to shift stronger or more booze than before. All together, the class would be rather sophisticated and apply to more experienced players.
4.) Maybe during this happy hour or whatever, the stats could slowly decrease from high to normal to low, instead of just being increased while drunk and being decreased while not so drunk. The drunkard would have an "ebb and tide"-element in his playing style if players weren't allowed to pile the fire up during the inebriation. They most likely would switch to an alt while having their "hangover", but so what.
5.) If none of the above mentioned ideas are approving, I suggest a damage bonus of up to 48% when beating wife or kids or a 150% increased chance of dying from cirrhosis before reaching level 40.
