Grouping Skills! (New skill tree)
Here's an idea I had for a new skill tree, based around being in groups and being more helpful to your party members.
Skill tree: Grouping (or Companionship, or some other name, you get the idea)
You gain Active experience in these skills whenever your group of two or more players kills an opponent that would normally give experience (no greys). Obviously it would be a good bit less than the stat XP you gain from a kill. When a skill says it benefits a party member, it doesn't include you, even when you're in a party. This skillset is strictly for buffing your other group members (of course, since they'll have the skills, too..), and in cases where it might stack, the party member with the highest skill takes precedence.
Skills:
Kind Healer : Your spells that restore Health, Mana, or Energy on party members are X% more effective.
Inspiration: Your critical hits with melee or ranged weapons restore X% of the damage as energy for each of your party members.
Presence: Your beneficial auras are X% more effective for your party members.
Residual power: Whenever you cast a spell that uses mana, your party members regain X% of the mana cost of the spell. (Alternate version: Your damage spells have an X% chance of restoring 10% of their energy or mana cost as mana for your party members.)
These are just example ideas for various skills, but the general idea is a skill tree designed around group synergy, and a bigger benefit to grouping besides "three against one".
