personnal and team rating difference

would like to get an answer on something thats bothering me a little

my arena team at the present time is rating just below 2,200 and all our individual ratings are at 2,362

would like it if glitchless can explain to me this diffrence on the ratings

ive had the same team for the last 3 arena seasons
and always seems to be a difference with our individual rating being higher than out team rating

thanks for any info and sheding some light on this

when you lose a fight, you dont lose personal rating.

Oh yes you do lose personal rating when you lose a fight. We have dropped our personal rating from around 2,300 to 1,532 by losing fights over the past week. Our team rating dropped from around 2,200 to 1,448.

would be nice for glitchless to give us the reason for difference from team rating and personnal rating

since weve only been in our crew and not with any others shouldnt our team rating and personnal rating be the sama

Were your team rating and individual ratings the same at the beginning of the season? My understanding is that individual ratings do not reset at the start of each season, and are used for matchmaking purposes. But your team rating starts over at 0 each season. So at the start of the fourth season each of your team members could have individual ratings of more than 2,000 while your team rating would be 0. As the season goes on, the gap would close, depending on how well you are doing this season.

Yes due to matchmaking, see it this way:

You have 1000 personal and 1500 team rating.

Opponents have 1000 personal and 1000 team rating.

If you win, you'll win a decent amount of personal (similar to enemy personal rating) and very little team rating (because you won against someone with a much lower team rating).
If you lose, you'll lose a decent amount of personal (similar to enemy personal rating) and high amount of team rating (because your lost to someone with a much lower team rating).
