Also, if S2 merges with S1, does this mean we would get two epic beasts spawning at the same time on our server? or would the epic beast on here be stronger as a result? i'm sure the extra caps would make the beasty get bursted down even more quickly but i could be wrong. not entirely sure how strong the caps on S2 are at this point.

... I don't know that I want to leave s2. It's ****ty how it is, but if it becomes something else I'd want to try it. I have more than enough alts on both servers already. It also doesn't make sense for new players to still be able to choose s2 without any fore knowledge and get caught in the same crux of a situation; Just letting the situation perpetuate. We've lost some players because of the hostility.... just trying to think out what I would choose. I do not want to lose the alts I have on s2, whichever way things go.


Glitch, how long would we have to decide? Also, can you give a fair idea of what will happen with s2 after the apocalypse?

5 Tcs seems like its way to cheap to change servers imo. Also seems biased that s2 can move but s1 cant but just my opinion.

We don't have any intention of allowing people to exploit S2 farming for long term benefits on S1.

A merge would open up the possibility of restarting a new S2 that was permanently in "classic" mode with no LGs, no pilg, locked in a state from the days of yore. It seems that's more what people want. If people like Umbra would prefer that as an option to playing on a server that will soon be a ghost land after transfers, that would be a no brainer.

In that case.. the toons, who stay when a reboot into classic mode is made, will lose all lgs and above level 85 levels and etc? And/Or be forced to reroll?

I would imagine it would just be that current s2 would merge onto s1, then the "new" s2 would be started from scratch.

On a side note, if this new "old style" server came out, I think it should be seriously considered to remove pk bonus, or at least implement some other way of preventing people from exploiting it due to low population.

Personally though, I love the idea of having a "classic" server like that. That's really the reason I ever went to s2 to begin with when the server first launched.

you DO realize that PK was a lot more prevalent in original Nod... PKing at level 5 with no level ranges, all open 1 hour flashing, no 3x loot or exp. Bring back original PKing from lore!!!

If you do decide to to eventually merge the 2 servers can I keep my current s2 toon with all upgrades on the new new s2? Even if I lose all exp and items i'd rather just keep my s2 toon as a s2 toon. I didn't want another upgraded s1 toon

Yes, that sounds like the perfect solution if we replace S2 with a Classic server. We would give S2 players the choice between:
a) Keeping all their stuff and moving to S1
b) Keeping only their account upgrades and starting from scratch on the Classic Server

What about the Tcs they have? i mean no offense but they're account upgrades too, right? Not like i got a boatload but still 10 Tcs are 10 tcs and i'd like to keep them
Also would we keep what ever premium time we have left? gear/gold is easy-ish to come by so that's not an issue but i like the idea

support, if people want to stay after "legacy reboot" they should keep the upgrades, but perhaps only those that were paid with irl cash, lest people like start off with full upgraded toons n shiet.this would truly be a fresh start for those that stay.

uh... so then... in the case of the server going retro (again)... why not just do no server swap. Except for the new players that can't tell a difference in the servers when they start, that's why the players went there. Give compensation for all gear/etc that will go poof when moved into retro (which has no need of an exp bonus) - can be tcs or demigod status or fedora or nothing or enough ladybugs for all pet slots.

^ I don't see how giving the option to move from s2 to s1 would solve anything except an unhappy customer(s) on s2. I'm looking for the answer that comes after that option because there are undeniably issues. I'm watching for what will happen to the server that will fix the reputation and the low population.

I'm sure I'm gonna get haters on this one, but like I said before, like what Thark said... I don't see the point in my s2 toons being on s1.

Of course, I'd like more population on s1 as well.... so ............. i'm out of thots again. :\ a bit a of a mess going on

Personally I would like to keep playing s2. But going back to all 0 means a LOT of loss for me. I can soon craft all lgs (ALL) and 4/5 skills and ALL resourcing to 100. That took a LOT of effort. Endure 30+ too. and walking..all 90+, few 100s...o.O what choices do we have? :P

so as an S2 player, I have a lot of questions and thoughts. I am leaning to want to stay on S2.

I do think that changing S2 can be good. I understand the dislike of S1 for S2. It was a possibility to take away from player base on S1 and the changes on S1 because of S2 and any toons that were irritating in chat and forums. I personally think the chat should not have been merged, but possibly only a new way to ask game questions with bantering not being allowed there.

With a lot being up in the air, I am not sure what I should do. I was in the process of farming heroics and getting lgs, but if going to classic and starting over, right now it doesnt seem to make sense to farm at all.

I understand that any change should not be done lightly and thought through, but any concrete changes that you could say would be great.
